Information for Current Iowa Veterans Home Employees

Information on this page is provided as helpful or useful information for our current employees.

Scheduling, Sick-Leave, and Vacation

The Iowa Veterans Home requires employees to report all late arrivals and absences through the call-in process. To report that you will be arriving to your shift late or report your absence from your assigned shift, call 641-753-4480. In addition, to calling the call-ins line employees will also need to schedule their sick leave through Time-Off Iowa.

Time Off Iowa (e-Leave)

Time-off Iowa is the system used for tracking time requested off by state employees in Iowa. Employees may request time-off for sick-time, doctors apt., vacations, or other needs.

Return To Work Form (Medical Verification)

When an employee misses three consecutive days of work by calling in the employee must have medical verification to return to work. This verification must be filled out by a medical professional.
